Drenia Frederick

Drenia Frederick has been involved in the arts in St. Lucia for more than fifteen years in the capacity of actor, director and playwright.  A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica and the Edna Manley School of Performing Arts, she has directed several well received plays that include Papyshow Park, Saraphina and the Coloured Museum   Ms. Frederick has directed a short film titled By Choice by Chance which was produced by the Aids Action Foundation and Right Angle Imaging.  Her substantive role is a teacher of Drama, English Language and Literature and finds fulfillment in introducing children to the world of theatre.  She wrote and directed the musical production Masquerade Master, which was performed by a huge cast of secondary school students.  Drenia Frederick is presently Artistic Director of her own company, Zenaida Productions, founded primarily for creating a crop of trained professional actors in St. Lucia.
